We’re Sam & Rene. In 2017 – we bought a tiny van (Toyota Liteace 1.8 Petrol) and converted it into a campervan thinking we could use it to drive to the UK. Needless to say, it ended up being a little too small after travelling around Thailand we returned to Malaysia to build a second campervan (Toyota Hiace 2.5 Diesel).

We set ourselves a goal to drive our campervan from Malaysia to UK however the two year pandemic and now war in Ukraine, we’ve put that goal on the back burner.

During the pandemic, we helped a friend with an abandoned sailboat project and we also accepted an offer from Pangkor Marina to base ourselves there to learn from James Khoo the marina owner.

In 2022, we finally bought our own sailboat. The stories of how we got into sailing are shared here on our website as well as on our YouTube Channel.

We aren’t sure about where this will lead us but then, since the existence of Covid-19, nothing is certain. We are just going with the flow without planning too far ahead.
